Debt and Taxes

Real conservatives have always supported low taxes and low spending.

But today, too many politicians and lobbyists are spending America into ruin. We are nine trillion dollars in debt as a nation. Our mounting government debt endangers the financial future of our children and grandchildren. If we don’t cut spending now, higher taxes and economic disaster will be in their future - and yours.

Gasoline and Refineries

In the past few months, American workers, consumers, and businesses have experienced a sudden and dramatic rise in gasoline prices. In most of the country, gasoline costs more than $4 per gallon. Some politicians claim that the way to reduce gas prices is by expanding the government’s power to regulate prices and control the supply of gasoline. Instead of imposing further restraints on the market, Congress should consider reforming the federal policies that raise gas prices. Read On

Terrorism

I will support the appropriate, overwhelming and vicious response to any terrorist attack against the United States. I support hunting down Osama bin Laden and eliminating him. However, I will not support occupation for the sake of nation-building. No amount of tit-for-tat retribution will end the war on terror unless we first take their motivation away. Luckily, the Founding Fathers gave us a tool to do just that. The manner in which Congress may do this is to “issue letters of marque and reprisal.” Read On

National Defense

National DefenseA defense policy designed to keep Americans safe should start with the idea that we must secure our borders from those who would cross them to do us harm. Currently, the United States maintains hundreds of thousands of troops in more than 100 foreign countries. In many cases, they are there to defend foreign borders. Maintaining such a global empire drains nearly one trillion dollars from the U.S. economy each year, while offering very little real security for the American people. What’s worse, our U.S. Border Guards are sent overseas to places like Iraq while our own borders remain porous and vulnerable. Read On

Privacy and Personal Liberties

The biggest threat to your privacy is the government. We must drastically limit the ability of government to collect and store data regarding citizens’ personal matters.

We must stop the move toward a national ID card system. All states are preparing to issue new driver’s licenses embedded with “standard identifier” data — a national ID. A national ID with new tracking technologies means we’re heading into an Orwellian world of no privacy. Read On

Immigration

The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. Follow the link below to view my six point plan. Read On

Sovereignty

So called free trade deals and world governmental organizations like the International Criminal Court (ICC), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), General Agreement on Tariff and Trade (GATT), World Trade Organization (WTO), and Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) are a threat to our independence as a nation. They transfer power from our government to unelected foreign elites. Read On
